CONCEPT

At GLA, the global leaders of tomorrow come together and develop the problem-solving and creative-thinking skills needed to succeed in an ever-changing world.

We envision GLA as a place where students from all over the world can come and study together in the world's hotbed of globalization: Asia. By going beyond the boundaries of a traditional liberal arts education, you'll deepen your understanding of different cultures and diverse social backgrounds. You'll learn to make connections others would never perceive and acquire the skills necessary to transform today's uncertain society for the better - the mark of a true global leader.

THREE PILLARS OF STUDIES

1

Cosmopolitan Studies

Subjects, centered around cultural studies and area studies, help students develop their understanding of social diversity, enabling them to identify and address issues in a way that exercises leadership of transcending borders.

2

Civilization Studies

Subjects, centered around historical studies and social theory, help students develop their understanding of multiplicity as well as shared common grounds of global community, enabling them to bring new agendas in wider and longer perspectives for humanity.

3

Innovation Studies

Subjects, centered around management theory and science & technology studies, help students develop their intellectual foundation of practical mindset and judgment, enabling them to contribute to the creation of new value for the global community.

* Students will study all three pillars. In the 4th year they need to choose one pillar to complete Research Seminar and Thesis.
