Warnings Regarding Overseas Travel in Light of the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In light of the spread of COVID-19 the Ritsumeikan University Infectious Disease Countermeasure Committee and the Ritsumeikan Trust Crisis Response Task Force has revised its warnings regarding overseas travel. Please take note of these.

1.Countries and Regions for which "Infection Risk Information" has been issued on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Overseas Travel Information website.

Please avoid all travel to countries and regions for which a “Level 3: Avoid all travel (Advisory to avoid all travel)” has been issued. If you are currently traveling in any of these areas, please consider returning to Japan immediately.
Please consider cancelling or postponing non-essential or non-urgent travel to countries and regions for which a “Level 2: Avoid Non-essential Travel” or “Level 1: Exercise caution” warning has been issued.

2.Countries and Regions not included above

◆In light of the worldwide spread of COVID-19, please also reconsider the necessity of travelling to countries and regions not mentioned above. If you decide to travel abroad, please take adequate precautions.


* Governments around the world may suddenly restrict entry to their country or forbid people from leaving their houses, so please be sure to check the most current information on Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
