Outbreak (Business Continuity Plan) Activity Restriction Level to Level 2

June 19, 2020
Ritsumeikan University

On May 25, 2020, the Japanese government lifted its state of emergency, and it has presented a policy that will gradually relax stay-at-home requests and restrictions on events and facility use until its proposed “new lifestyle” takes hold throughout society.
Please note, however, that Ritsumeikan University will continue to implement the following measures to protect the lives, safety, and health of our students, faculty, and staff and to fulfill our social responsibility to prevent the spread of infection. These measures are subject to change in the event that the national or local governments change their requests. Please check the homepage regularly.

  1. BCP activity restriction level: Level 2
    * Based on the Ritsumeikan University Action Guidelines in Response to the COVID-19 Outbreak (Business Continuity Plan)
    * If the number of infections increases, or the national or local governments issue requests, we will promptly raise the restriction level to the appropriate level and enact the corresponding restrictions outlined in the BCP.
  2. Level 2 start date and period: Monday, June 22 - for the time being
    * Actual operations based on the decision to drop down to Level 2 are scheduled to take effect, except for a few exceptions, on Wednesday, July 1.
