Information about COVID-19 Vaccination Reservations [Updated on August 6]

To: Students, faculty, staff, individuals who work at the Academy, and local residents

Ritsumeikan Trust

In response to the need to fulfill our social responsibility to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, Ritsumeikan University has been offering vaccinations on campus since July 5 to reduce the burden of administering vaccines on local governments, to protect the life and safety of students, faculty, and staff, and to ensure everyone can take classes and lead their lives on campus with peace of mind.

(Updated August 6)
In the event that a storm warning or special weather warning is issued (or is judged extremely likely to be issued) for the area where the campus is located, or in the event that public transportation is disrupted (or a planned suspension is announced at least one day in advance), the workplace vaccinations at each Ritsumeikan University campus may be cancelled.
If vaccinations are cancelled, as a general rule, an email will be sent the day before the vaccination date to those individuals who have reservations. Please be sure to check this email.
In the event that vaccinations are cancelled due to a disaster or other reason, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment, but please understand that it may be difficult to switch your appointment to your desired date and time.

Since July 20 (Tuesday), we have been accepting reservations from local residents through our web-based reservation service (MRSO), but since we have reached the maximum number of reservations for local residents, we will no longer be accepting new applications through our web-based reservation service or call center.
We would like to thank you for your understanding.

Local residents who have already made an appointment for vaccination and wish to cancel or change their appointment or make a second appointment for vaccination should contact the call center below.
Ritsumeikan Vaccine Call Center (Tel:0570-783-824) *Phone call hours: 9:00-17:00

Students, faculty members, staff, and university staff can continue to make reservations for vaccinations through the web-based reservation system.

<If you have already made a reservation, please see below>
Please carefully read the COVID-19 Vaccination Instructions and the following guidelines and discuss the matter with your family before you make your reservation.
If you are under the age of 20, you will need to have a guardian complete a consent form in order to receive a vaccination. To protect the lives and health of our students, faculty, and staff and help ensure effective herd immunity, we are cooperating with the workplace vaccination initiative in response to the national government’s policy, but vaccinations are entirely optional and are not required. If you do not receive the vaccine, you will face no disadvantages when making use of the university's systems and programs.
