The Japan American Football Association (JAFA) has selected Ren Kitagawa, a first-year student in the IB course at the Ritsumeikan Uji High School, as a player for the U-15 Japan Selected Team for the Junior Flag Football International Cup 2022. Mr. Kitagawa was a member of the American football team at Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School. As captain of the team, he has participated in the Koshien Bowl invitational game. He decided to participate in the selection process recommended by his junior high school advisor, and after going through the selection process conducted by the association, he reported to Principal Hicks that he would be representing Japan in the tournament to be held in June at the University of Michigan in the United States.
