Japanese English Model United Nations (JEMUN) at Kindai University

Last weekend, 14 IB students attended the Japanese English Model United Nations (JEMUN) at Kindai University. Each student represented a country from around the world, and they discussed and debated the issue of fast fashion and its impact on economies, including developing economies. There were around 250 students at the event representing high schools and universities from around Japan.
Over three days, students studied deeply into this issue while cooperating with their peers to make resolutions and agreements as is common at Model United Nations. At the end of the conference, the Ritsumeikan Uji students were awarded with a trophy for best high school delegation.
