Joint Symposium with Thammasat Business School Held at OIC
On Thursday, 5 June 2025, a Joint Symposium was held at Ritsumeikan University’s Osaka Ibaraki Campus (OIC) with the Thammasat Business School (TBS) of Thailand.

The symposium brought together Vice Dean Dr. Akekarin Yolrabil and 13 faculty members from TBS, along with Prof. Nobuaki Minato (Dean of the Graduate School of Technology Management), Prof. Manabu Sawaguchi, Assoc. Prof. Wei Huang, and Prof. Ryusuke Kosuge of Ritsumeikan Business School (RBS).The event opened with welcome remarks from Dean Minato, who also introduced the Graduate School of Technology Management at Ritsumeikan. This was followed by an overview of Thammasat Business School’s programs and initiatives presented by Dr. Krit Pattamaroj. During the ensuing discussion session, participants explored future collaboration, including the signing of an inter-faculty agreement and the launch of joint research projects.
In the latter half of the symposium, faculty members from both universities delivered research presentations:
• Prof. Manabu Sawaguchi – “Designing Education to Enhance Students’ Eagerness to Learn.”
• Assoc. Prof. Wei Huang – “Analyzing the Effects of Differentiated Customer Experience on Product Performance.”
• Prof. Sakun Boon-itt – “Circular Economy and Environmental Accounting.”
• Dr. Sukrit Vinayavekhin – “Digital Traceability in Complex Supply Chains.”



After the symposium, participants enjoyed a campus tour and a networking reception, further deepening ties between the two institutions.
