Regarding the Bomb Threat Issued against Ritsumeikan Academy on Thursday, August 6, 2020 and Our Response

 Regarding the bomb threat against Ritsumeikan Academy on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 8:15 am to 8:15 pm that which was issued on an internet bulletin board, we checked for suspicious objects in our facilities, kept a look out for suspicious persons and patrolled the facilities in cooperation with the police. We are happy to inform you that no bomb exploded and no other damage was incurred during the specified date and time.

 Giving top priority to ensuring the safety of all students, faculty, staff and related personnel, we closed all the campuses of Ritsumeikan University and all the affiliated schools of the Ritsumeikan Academy and prohibited anyone from entering the facilities on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Normal operations have resumed as of Friday, August 7, 2020.

 Due to this incident, we will continue to take the necessary measures in cooperation with the police.
