Specialization / Research Interests
My expertise lies in international and intercultural education. I am dedicated to exploring mechanisms of personal growth through intercultural experiences and developing programs that foster student learning in diverse, cross-cultural environments. My research interests include development of intercultural competence, cross-cultural peer learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in education.
As an educator, I am committed to a student-centered pedagogical approach that prioritizes the unique backgrounds and experiences each student brings. My teaching emphasizes cross-cultural respect, encouraging everyone to learn from one another’s diverse perspectives. Collaborative learning is central in my courses, as students are supported in helping each other maximize their educational growth. I also focus on both content mastery and the learning process through active classroom engagement.
At GLA, I believe in fostering an inclusive community where you will play a vital role in cross-cultural and collaborative learning. I look forward to engaging with students who share these values and aspirations.
