Graduation Ceremony, March 2024
GLA will hold the RU Graduation Ceremony and GLA Graduation Ceremony. We hope that all graduating students will attend it. It will be your day, and we look forward to celebrating the beginning of your new endeavors.
We announce about important information about ceremony, so please check the following.
Future Steps
Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 a.m.: Announcement on Graduation Eligibility via manaba+R
ALL graduating students must answer the survey which will be sent by GLA Office after Announcement on Graduation Eligibility. (Deadline strictly observed)
*This survey is also used to confirm attendance at the Graduation Ceremony, so it is a required response.
Ceremony Details
The university will hold the RU Graduation Ceremony, followed by the GLA Graduation Ceremony. Graduating students and family members are welcome to attend.
* Current students are also welcome to attend. However, seating preference will be given to graduates, their families, and faculty; if seats are not available, it will be standing room only.

Students who want 2 or more certificate copies should check the procedure on the following website which will be released on March 5. (Needed to make a reservation at a certificate issuing machine.)

Students Who Will Not Attend
The University will send diplomas and related documents to students who will not attend the ceremonies afterward (Shipping costs are the responsibility of the student). The detail will be announced by email which will be sent by GLA Office after Announcement on Graduation Eligibility.

Rental / Purchase for the Gown
The OIC Co-op shop will be offering gown rentals and sales on a trial basis; gowns may be worn starting at the RU Graduation Ceremony at 13:00. For more information, please check below and contact the OIC Co-op. (TEL: 072-645-4103)

* Please note that ANU has also prepared several ANU gowns for the GLA Graduation Ceremony for group photo, which can be worn by those who have completed the dual degree program. Due to the small number of gowns available, they will be given to the next person immediately after the photo, so students cannot be worn at all times.
Note
Please make sure to bring your Student ID Card. Students must present it to attend ceremonies.
There is no dress code, but please come dressed in formal attire (appropriate for formal ceremonies).
Parents and family members are also welcome to attend the ceremonies. If they come from a country or region not visa-exempted, they must obtain a “short-term stay” visa in advance. Check details at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Website(External Link).
* The University does not issue documents to support the visa application. Please present a screenshot of this page as necessary.
