【Event】2013 Fall Entrance Ceremony

On Wednesday, September 25th, the 2013 Fall Entrance Ceremony for the Ritsumeikan University Undergraduate and Graduate students was held at the Suzaku Campus. 166 students (Undergraduate: 48 , Graduate : 118) are welcomed to Ritsumeikan University from 28 countries and regions this year. We, the Graduate School of Life Sciences (GSLS), received 6 new international students from 3 countries (Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt).

Ms. Elya Mufidah, a doctoral student of graduate school of Life Sciences from Indonesia, gave a speech on behalf of the graduate new entrants and expressed her hopes: “As international students, each of us is a representative of our home country. This means that we have been given a great opportunity to represent our national identity but at the same time we also have to be able to socialize as a multicultural community. I do hope that we will be able to develop mutually beneficial friendships and also will develop a forum to improve scientific and social capabilities through mutual understanding as a global community with the guidance of Ritsumeikan University.”
