3 Minute Thesis “3MT®” Competition among 4 universities of Science and Engineering in Asia Call for 3MT Presentation 2015

For all doctoral students at GSLS,

In this year, we will have the first competition of 3MT in Japan. Three Minute Thesis (3MT) celebrates the exciting research conducted by UQ PhD students. Developed by The University of Queensland, the exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

The finalist of Ritsumeikan University will be competing with other finalists from 3 universities of Science and Engineering in Asia for the berth of the Trans-Tasman Final held in October 2015 at the University of Queensland in Australia. Ritsmeikan University will provide all fees and cost which as application, travel, insurance and accommodation and so on when RU student earn the place to The Trans-Tasman Final.

We do believe that this competition will develop your academic, presentation and research communication skills in English. We hope that many doctoral students apply for this event!
