Q1Tell us about your research theme.

The use of functional dipeptides in medicine and food biotechnology is increasing. Although there are various ways of synthesizing dipeptides, much attention has been directed to enzymatic peptide synthesis instead of chemical approaches. The methodology for enzymatic synthesis of biologically active peptides had not yet been fully utilized. The theme of my research was the application of the α-amino-acid esterase enzyme for synthesizing different dipeptides, purification, and molecular characterization of the enzyme.
