Biomolecules interact with one another both physically and functionally, generating a wide range of biochemical reactions that give rise to diverse and adaptable biological processes. Our laboratory focuses primarily on membrane proteins whose biological functions remain poorly understood. By elucidating their physiological roles, we aim to identify new molecular targets for drug discovery and advance research in pharmaceutical biosciences. Whenever possible, we use observations of biological phenomena in vivo as our starting point and pursue multiple lines of research aimed at elucidating the underlying molecular mechanisms.
