ILCs and ALCs in skin

In our laboratory, we are studying the immune function of the skin. Many people in early childhood experience swelling of their skin when infected with the "varicella-zoster virus". It is still unknown how the skin is affected when the body's immunity is infected. Focusing on the function of immunity that connects multiple organs, we have constructed an evaluation system that monitors innate lymphoid cells and the acquired lymphoid cells for each organ. This may provide important clues to the functioning of the immune network that regulates distant organs.
