On Thursday, September 25, Ritsumeikan University held the AY2025 fall matriculation ceremony on the Osaka Ibaraki Campus and welcomed 319 new students (undergraduate: 134, graduate: 185).

In his congratulatory address for the new students, President Yoshio Nakatani said, “I am happy to welcome our new friends from all over the world in the year that marks the 125th anniversary of Ritsumeikan University’s founding. In these rapidly changing times, you must demonstrate a commitment to the future and be willing to take on challenges without being bound by conventional norms and frameworks. I hope that through your studies and research you will generate new value for society and develop the ability to create the future. As you learn and seek knowledge together, I have high expectations for you all to achieve success.”
