Disclosure of Excessive Personal Information on Our Website for a Certain Period
It has recently come to our attention that, in the “Establishment Plan Status Report” posted on our university website, materials containing faculty members’ age information had been made publicly available. We sincerely apologize for the considerable inconvenience and concern caused by this administrative error to the faculty members. An overview of the matter and the measures to prevent a recurrence are as follows.
1.Overview
The “Establishment Plan Status Report” is a document compiled and prepared by the university on the status of implementation of organizational restructuring, such as the establishment or reorganization of faculties and graduate schools, until the year of completion. It is required to be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and, at the same time, made publicly available.
The report included items describing faculty members’ teaching assignments and academic degrees. However, it was found that the materials were mistakenly posted on our university website without removing the age information contained therein.
