Nissin Foods’ “Kanzen Meshi” menu to be served in cafeterias:Held simultaneously at Ritsumeikan University and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University to support students before exams
From Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 17, 2026, as part of a partnership with Nissin Food Holdings Co., Ltd. (Nissin Foods HD), menu items from “Kanzen Meshi” by Nissin Foods Co., Ltd. (Nissin Foods) will be served in the cafeterias of Ritsumeikan University and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU). This initiative will focus on the tendency of students’ eating habits to becoming irregular before exams. Its goal is to create an environment in which students can concentrate more effectively on their studies by providing meals that are both nutritionally balanced and delicious.
“Kanzen Meshi” is a brand that pursues the balance between delicious taste and the 33 nutrients defined in the “Dietary Reference Intakes for Japanese” by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. It has attracted attention as a new dietary option for modern people with busy lifestyles.
This marks a first for Nissin Foods HD. The Ritsumeikan Trust has received long-standing support from the founder of Nissin Foods, Momofuku Ando and has built strong partnerships between Nissin Foods Holdings and both Ritsumeikan University and APU. This initiative was realized by building upon those partnerships and enlisting the cooperation of the University Co-op, which operates the student cafeterias.
Mr. Momofuku Ando was an honorary alumnus of the Ritsumeikan University Alumni Association as well as an honorary doctor of Ritsumeikan University. In addition, APU has established the “ANDO Momofuku Honor Prize” and “ANDO Momofuku Award” shortly after its founding in 2001 and as of the fall semester 2025, a total of 202 students (46 recipients of the Honor Prize and 156 recipients of the Award) have been supported.
Nissin Foods Holdings, which aims to achieve well-being through food, and Ritsumeikan University and APU, which promote interdisciplinary education and research focused on well-being and social coexistence, will continue to advance initiatives that leverage their respective expertise and strengths. Both universities will uphold the spirit and creative vision of Momofuku Ando, and the diverse endeavors of students will be supported while contributing to the creation of new values toward the realization of a sustainable society.
