Chairperson Nagata Visits Vietnamese Firm Established by Ritsumeikan Graduates, Others

Ritsumeikan University graduates are playing active roles in many places in the world.
Toyoomi Nagata, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, the Ritsumeikan Trust, visited an IT firm, Rikkeisoft, set up in Hanoi in 2012 by Vietnamese graduates of the university.

Rikkeisoft President Ta Son Tung, COO Bui Quang Huy and General Manager of the Game Division Nguyen Quang Ky enrolled in Hanoi University of Science and Technology and joined the Higher Education Development Support Project on ICT. They transferred to Ritsumeikan’s College of Information Science and Engineering in their third year, obtaining degrees. Rikkeisoft has grown into an outsourcing IT company with more than 250 people on the payroll and plans to hold a party in April to mark the fifth anniversary of its founding.

Mr. Nagata received a briefing from President Tung on some details of his company and its future prospects.

On the same day, the Hanoi Alumni Association held a general meeting. It was attended by a variety of people – entrepreneurs, Hanoi-based Japanese businessmen and Vietnamese people who had studied at Ritsumeikan. Mr. Nagata and others held free and easy conversations on a variety of topics, which included Ritsumeikan University, business in Hanoi, society and local living environment.
