Profile

Graduated from Tokai Junior and Senior High School in Aichi Prefecture. Afterward, completed the Department of Applied Physics in the Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto University, followed by the Master's and Doctoral programs in the Department of Microengineering at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, earning a Doctorate in Engineering in 2022. Subsequently, served as a Special Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies at Kyoto University. I have been in my current position since April 2025.

educational interests

I aim to conduct interdisciplinary research that transcends traditional fields, focusing on sustainability and the environment. I am particularly interested in how we can describe and communicate the complexity of these issues and what can be proposed from an essential or long-term perspective. In terms of education, I strive to leverage my background in engineering to help people appreciate scientific perspectives and thinking as part of a well-rounded education.

I have conducted social science research on plastics and the circular economy. Additionally, I have participated in workshops and educational activities focused on environmental issues and science and technology. While collaborating with researchers from various fields, I strive to integrate my research and education closely with real-world problems.
