Why did you choose to study in CRPS?

I chose to study in CRPS because I wanted to learn policy science from a global and interdisciplinary perspective. The program’s strong focus on English-based education and problem-solving across borders perfectly matched my goal to work in an international environment. I was also attracted by the curriculum that connects social issues, economics, and sustainability, which allows students to analyze real-world policy challenges through both theoretical and practical approaches.

Moreover, Ritsumeikan University’s diverse community and opportunities for collaboration with students from different countries encouraged me to join CRPS. I believed this environment would not only enhance my academic growth but also broaden my worldview and help me develop the communication skills needed for global policy-making.

What is your life in CRPS / Ritsumeikan like?

My life in CRPS has been both challenging and rewarding. I live alone near campus and balance my studies with a part-time job at a hospitality service company, which helps me improve my time management and communication skills.

One of the most unforgettable moments was when my hard work paid off and I received a scholarship after significantly improving my academic performance. That achievement gave me great confidence and motivation to keep pushing myself.

Through CRPS, I was introduced to the AEON Financial Service Internship Program, where I had the chance to work with many Japanese students. Collaborating with them helped me gain new perspectives and understand the Japanese working culture more deeply.

Overall, studying in CRPS as an international student in Japan has taught me independence, discipline, and the importance of cross-cultural communication.

What are your plans after CRPS?

After graduating from CRPS, I plan to start my career in Japan. I have already received a job offer(内定) from a foreign-affiliated financial company in Japan, and I am eager to apply what I have learned in CRPS to the professional field.

Through my studies and internship experiences, I have developed strong analytical and cross-cultural communication skills, which I believe will help me contribute effectively in an international business environment.

How would You recommend CRPS?

CRPS offers a broad and interdisciplinary learning experience where students can explore various fields of policy science, such as economics, sustainability, and social issues. This diverse academic background becomes a strong advantage when seeking employment in different industries.

The program also provides excellent opportunities to improve Japanese language skills, which makes it especially beneficial for those who plan to work in Japan after graduation.
