Why did you choose to study in CRPS?

Since I am interested in social issues in regional level, and the connection among people and people in society, I want to pursue a higher education that can provide me knowledge on generally social context and the tool to conduct research by myself. I found that CRPS curriculum mainly focus on Vision building courses and foundational knowledge that I can apply to many social issues, teach us how to research, find literature, and write our findings properly – perfectly match my needs. That is why I chose CRPS.

What is your life in CRPS / Ritsumeikan like?

Student life at CRPS provided me a mixed experience: As a tourist who explores Japan in English and a normal university student who learns to be independent and self-management. I have been learning Japanese since I got in the university and it helps my life in Japan more colorful with many experiences inside and outside university like Teach Assistant for English class at university, part-time cashier at convenient store.

I found the overlap in culture and the kindness of people in Japan to international students, and every day I explore new aspects of this country. I can definitely say I enjoy my student life at Ritsumeikan a lot.

What are your plans after CRPS?

As a CRPS student, I know my strength is languages and multi-cultural understanding, thus, I tried my best to learn Japanese through my everyday life and at school, and I am doing my job hunting in Japan to utilize my strength.

How would You recommend CRPS?

You did a right choice to find out CRPS major, since I believe it will open a new door with full of new experience that you are finding for an abroad life. I hope you prepare your best for CRPS application and Japanese life, and look forward to seeing you soon at OIC campus.
