International Project Management

This program is designed to develop the ability of diverse individuals from different residential areas to work cooperatively as a team, even in remote areas, in order to enable them to take on the challenges of international space development projects and exploration missions in the future. The program includes classroom lectures and exercises to acquire communication skills essential for international team activities. While learning the fundamentals of Space Flight Resource Management (SFRM), which is systematized as a team behavior skill for astronauts working in the remote environment of space and ground, mainly through classroom lectures, the program also includes exercises with international students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, and finally, through exercises with students from overseas universities, students will be able to acquire communication skills and team behavior skills that can be used in international team work environments. The goal of this program is to enhance communication skills and teamwork skills that are applicable in an international team environment.

Participants

  • Understand approaches to research and business development in the space field and acquire the ability to design and manage projects.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork in multinational groups and remote work settings.
  • Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Beppu City, Oita Prefecture)

    Dates:
    November 8 (Sat.) - November 9 (Sun.), 2025

    • 2.International Group work to enhance communication skills and team behavior skills

Space System Operations

The program simulates on-site team management (decision making under stressful environment, risk management), which is essential for spacecraft system operation and mission success, with the support of JAMSS (Japan Manned Space Systems Corporation), which has a proven track record in training and developing astronauts and ISS (International Space Station) controllers. (JAMSS), which has experience in training astronauts and ISS controllers.

Participants

  • Demonstrate effective teamwork in multinational groups and remote work settings.
  • Manage risks and achieve mission success even in stressful and challenging environments.
