The GEC is an international business plan competition for high school students to stimulate interest in innovation among young people. Since then, the scale of the competition has expanded year by year, with participating countries cooperating to manage the competition. In Japan, the domestic qualifying round has been held since 2004 to select representative teams for the World Championships.

Participants form teams of at least three and no more than eight people. On the morning of the competition day, a challenge theme is presented, and within 12 hours, each team must compile its ideas for a solution and submit a two-page business plan and a three-minute presentation video in English as the language of the competition. In the end, each team's solution is evaluated comprehensively by a panel of judges in a professional capacity on creativity and innovation, feasibility, marketability, and communication skills. This year's domestic qualifying task was to " To propose an innovative business that utilizes cutting-edge technologies to contribute to the support and care of the elderly people. However, your business should not cause elderly users to become overly dependent and lose the abilities that they still have."

This was the first time for our school to participate in the world competition. We have high hopes that by competing with high school students from around the world, they will broaden their perspectives and continue their efforts for social change.
