On July 11, a pep rally was held at Uji City Hall to encourage athletes participating in national competitions. Three members of the Judo Club (Aika Miyamoto, Wakana Takami, and Rei Okubo, from left in front row) and four members of the Track and Field Club (Chiseno Ikeda, Yuumi Yamamoto, Chika Hayashi, and Momoka Onishi, from left in back row) participated in the event.

At the pep rally, the Mayor of Uji City and the Chairperson of the Uji City Assembly gave words of encouragement to the team, and Aika Miyamoto expressed her enthusiasm and aspirations for the Inter-Highs as a representative of the 23 athletes who have been selected to participate in the national competition.

We look forward to seeing them perform well at the 2023 National High School Athletic Meet (Inter-High) to be held in Hokkaido in August.
