IB] Art Exhibition by Senior High School Students

On September 1 and 2, 2023, an exhibition was held by third-year IB course students taking Visual Arts. Each student created about 10 works of art, including paintings, digital art, crafts, and three-dimensional works, and presented them with a theme.
In IBDP Visual Arts, students are required not only to create a work of art as part of the exam, but also to exhibit it. Students are required to interact with the viewers of their artwork about what they are asserting through their artwork, the unity of theme in multiple artworks, and the ingenuity of their artwork. While the assertions made through the artwork are non-verbal communication, the exhibition is intended to develop into verbal communication through the artwork, which is one of the pillars of "ATL: Approach to Learning," the core of IB education.
During the two days of the exhibition, there were many participants, including not only IB course students but also junior high and high school students, faculty members, parents, and others, and we could see them interacting and learning from each other across grades and courses.
