First-year junior high school students' Japanese dance and taiko recital
notices
On Tuesday, September 12, during the lunch break, the first-year students of classes 5 and 6 gave presentations on taiko drumming and Japanese dance.
During the integrated learning time, the students were instructed by SeijuFujikage, the third generation head of the Fujikage school, who also received a commendation from the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs for his Japanese dance performance. The taiko drumming was taught by "Uzu," a taiko drumming circle that performs mainly at community centers in Uji City, for a total of 6 sessions of 12 hours.
The students were able to show the results of their practice to their parents and classmates.
