On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Ritsumeikan Uji High School Panthers defeated the Kyoto Ryoyo High School Warriors 43-0 in the third round of the 54th National High School American Football Championships held at the Ritsumeikan Uji High School grounds in Kyoto Prefecture, and qualified for the national tournament as representatives of Kyoto Prefecture.
