On Sunday, September 22, 2024, the second round of the Kyoto Prefecture Qualifier for the 55th National High School American Football Championship was held. The Ritsumeikan Uji High School Panthers faced Doshisha International High School and won by mercy rule with a score of 41-0 by the middle of the third quarter.

Since Heian High School forfeited the previous match, today marked the first game of the autumn season. In the first quarter, after shutting down Doshisha International's offense and switching to their own offensive play, the Panthers consistently advanced downfield using only running plays. However, they couldn’t finish off the drive, and the first quarter ended with no score. In the second quarter, they shifted to passing plays and rapidly racked up points, scoring four touchdowns to take a commanding lead. In the second half, the momentum continued, with the Panthers adding two more touchdowns to achieve a 40-point margin, ending the game.
