1st-Year IB Course Students Visit the Osaka-Kansai Expo
On Friday, May 23, forty first-year students from the IB course visited the Osaka-Kansai Expo as part of an off-campus learning experience.
The day began with a visit to the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion. Afterwards, students divided into groups and explored various other pavilions freely at their own pace.
At the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, students engaged with interactive programs that allowed them to envision their lives 25 years into the future and experience futuristic urban lifestyles. The pavilion featured cutting-edge technologies such as VR, and many of the exhibits were closely related to school subjects like biology and science. Connections to everyday life and personal health were also highlighted, capturing the students’ strong interest.
Given that many students in the IB course have international backgrounds, the global pavilions showcasing different countries’ cultures and technologies were particularly engaging and meaningful to them.
This off-campus learning opportunity not only allowed students to learn in a different environment but also deepened friendships through shared experiences. It proved to be a valuable and inspiring day that will surely motivate students in their future studies.
