“Family Basics” Class: Parent-Child Interaction Session with First-Year High School Students in the IG/IM Courses
As part of the first-year high school “Family Basics” course, a Parent-Child Interaction Class was held. Following last year's success, we were once again fortunate to receive the warm cooperation of many individuals, including faculty members and their families.
In this unit, students studied the field of childcare from multiple perspectives — as children themselves, as future parents, and as members of society. With fewer opportunities in modern life to engage directly with young children, this session provided a valuable chance to experience firsthand the joys and challenges of childcare. Through this experience, students deepened their understanding of the hard work involved in raising children, the joy of witnessing their growth, what they themselves can do now as high school students, and what values they should cherish going forward.
It was an opportunity for reflection and a meaningful experience that will surely contribute to their future paths.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents and children who kindly supported this educational program in home economics.
