IM Course Class 2-3 Canada Return Presentation — Growth Through Challenge

From Challenge to Confidence — The Growth Stories of 28 Students

In July 2025, 28 students from Class 2-3 of the IM Course held a return presentation following their year-long study abroad in Canada.

Since August last year, each student from IM 2-3 was individually placed at a different high school across various regions of Canada. They lived with host families while continuing their studies in completely new environments—each with its own community, culture, and family setting. Through this experience, students encountered a wide range of perspectives and built invaluable memories.

At the presentation, each student stood on stage and gave a powerful speech in English, sharing their learnings, discoveries, challenges, and personal growth during their time abroad. Their confident delivery reflected more than just improved language skills—it conveyed maturity, resilience, and heartfelt gratitude.

By leaving behind the familiar comforts of life in Japan, the students immersed themselves in new cultures and values, facing many challenges along the way. Through overcoming each of these, they were able to reflect deeply on themselves, gaining both confidence and strength. The people who supported them—family members, teachers, and those they met in Canada—played a major role in this journey, helping students cultivate a deep appreciation for the “ordinary” aspects of daily life.

Upon returning, the students will begin full-scale immersion classes conducted entirely in English. Drawing upon the language skills and life experiences gained during their time abroad, they now step forward with the goal of becoming people who can support others and serve as bridges between Japan and the world. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has warmly supported them. We hope you will continue to follow their journey of growth and new challenges ahead.
