[Grade 9 Study Trip] Taking on the Challenge in English! One Week into the Australia Study Trip
Diverse Learning at Local Schools
At local schools, students are experiencing a wide range of activities—beyond English lessons, they are learning about Australian nature and culture, and participating in their buddies' regular classes. During the cultural presentation they prepared in Japan, they introduced origami, kendama, and fukuwarai, offering local children a valuable opportunity to experience Japanese culture. Receiving cheerful comments like "Thank you!" and "That was fun!" has boosted the students' confidence.
Taking on English in Daily Life
Students visited the University of Queensland, explored the South Bank area with university students, and practiced using English while shopping at local supermarkets. Though many were initially hesitant, we are now seeing more students take initiative—asking questions and thinking through things on their own. They are clearly building confidence step by step.
The Study Trip Enters Its Second Half
The trip has now reached its halfway point. Over the weekend, students will spend quality time with their host families, and in the upcoming week they’ll take part in a farewell event and go on an excursion to the Gold Coast. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow through unique experiences that can only be had in Australia.
