[2nd-Year IG/IM Courses] Learning About the World and the Future Through the Expo Visit

A Day of Learning the Future Despite the Heat

On September 2, students from the 2nd-year IG Course and classes 3 and 5–12 of the IM Course visited the Expo. (The IB Course students already visited in April.) It was a midsummer day with temperatures exceeding 30°C, but the students took thorough measures to stay hydrated and protect themselves from the sun while visiting the creatively designed pavilions of various countries and companies in their respective groups.

Experiencing Global Diversity and Cutting-edge Technology

During the visit, students toured pavilions introducing the latest technologies and cultures from around the world. Through hands-on exhibits, videos, and guided tours, they learned about diverse values and the possibilities of future societies. Each student chose pavilions according to their interests and actively absorbed information while enjoying the experience.

Student Reflections and Learnings

In their reflections after the visit, many students shared impressions such as:

“I was amazed by the advancement of technology.”

“I could truly feel the different cultures around the world.”

“It gave me an opportunity to think about the challenges of future societies.”

Through this experience, students were able to broaden their perspectives and cultivate the ability to proactively consider the future.

Despite the intense heat, the students gained meaningful learning throughout the day. We hope that this experience will serve as valuable inspiration for their future academic exploration and career choices.
