Smiles Connected Under the Autumn Sky ― Junior High IP × Senior High IB Course Exchange Event ―
A Day of Smiles and Connection Under the Autumn Sky
On Thursday, October 23, an exchange event was held between students in the Junior High IP Course and the Senior High IB Course. Under the clear autumn sky, the sounds of laughter and cheerful voices echoed across Taiyōgaoka as students enjoyed a fun time beyond grade and course boundaries. The Junior High IP Course is designed for students aiming to advance to the Senior High IB Course. This exchange event is held annually with the aim of strengthening ties between junior and senior high school and nurturing a mutual learning community.
On the day of the event, second-year IB students served as team leaders, supporting first- and third-year IP students as they tackled a scavenger race. As teams worked together to complete photo missions, students who were initially a bit nervous soon warmed up to one another, and the event became a lively and cheerful experience. The way students cooperated to complete their missions fostered a strong sense of unity across different grades.
Meanwhile, second-year IP students took part in the "Uji Walk." In groups, they toured famous spots around Uji, capturing the scenery and their friends’ smiles with instant cameras.
Bathed in warm autumn sunlight, every student engaged in the activities with energy and enthusiasm. This day provided a meaningful exchange where students truly felt the connection between the IP and IB courses and gained inspiration from one another’s learning journeys.
