IG Course 2nd-Year Students Join “+R Class – Student Edition” Program

With the cooperation of the Ritsumeikan University Alumni and Parents Office, the “+R Class – Student Edition” was held for second-year high school students in the IG Course. In this program, current students of Ritsumeikan University, including alumni of our school, were invited as guest speakers to talk about their academic and career experiences.

Learning from the Real Experiences of Our Seniors

On the day of the event, current university students shared valuable insights, covering topics such as:

  • Reasons for choosing their faculty: Why they selected their major and how their high school experiences influenced their decision
  • University academics: Actual course content and research activities
  • Student life: Extracurricular activities and campus life
  • Connection to future careers: How their studies are linked to career development

The seniors shared their stories based on firsthand experiences, incorporating specific episodes that made their talks even more relatable.

A Valuable Opportunity to Reflect on the Future

For the students, this program offered a precious opportunity to gain a concrete image of how university learning connects to future goals. Listening to the stories of seniors close in age served as strong motivation as they face important decisions about their own paths.

In addition, the “+R Class – Professional Edition” is scheduled to take place in January 2026. It is expected to broaden perspectives even further through talks by alumni who are now active in various professional fields.
