High School Student Yuki Denpo Performs Harp in England
Here is a report on the activities of Yuki Denpo, a sophomore SA (Scholar Athlete & Artist) in high school.
Ms. Denpo participated in the 14th WORLD HARP CONGRESS held in Wales, England from July 23 to 28, and performed harp in front of a large audience.
The WORLD HARP CONGRESS had a video audition beforehand, and Denpo passed the audition and performed in the focus on youth (under 21 years old) category.
I was supposed to compete three years ago in my eighth grade year, but unfortunately it was held online due to the new Corona. I was very happy to finally be able to participate this year. It was a valuable experience to be exposed to so much music, not only classical, but also jazz and Welsh music, with 500 concerts taking place in one week. It was also very encouraging to receive positive feedback from the audience," Denbo said. "I will not play on stage in the same way as I do in practice, but I will try to play according to the atmosphere of the place, and I will do my best to enjoy myself as well as the audience," she said enthusiastically about her future aspirations.
