On Sunday, December 3, the Ritsumeikan Uji Junior High School Panthers faced Nagahama Minami Junior High School Big Blue in the semifinals of the National Junior High School American Football Championship, winning 34-0 and advancing to the final to be played at Koshien vs Ritsumeikan Moriyama JH.

In the game, the Panthers scored a touchdown in the first quarter to catch the wave, and then scored four TDs in the second quarter, including a touchdown from an interception, to open the scoring significantly. In the second half, the Panthers were unable to get any additional points as they were unable to attack the Nagahama Minami Naka defense that was responding to Ritsumeikan Uji's offense, and the game fell into a stalemate, but the defense remained focused and was able to overcome Nagahama Minami's attack.
