Junior high school third-year student, Nanaho Yamaguchi, has been awarded the prestigious Uji City Sports Award.

Yamaguchi participated as the vice-captain of the Japanese national ice hockey team at the 4th Youth Olympic Winter Games held in February, where she splendidly won a silver medal. Her achievement was recognized, leading to this award.

The commendation ceremony took place at Uji City Hall on March 14, attended by Mayor Matsumura and Chairman Matsumine. Mayor Matsumura presented Yamaguchi with a certificate and trophy.
