The Campus Asia Program started as a pilot program in 2012, before developing into a permanent program, and now has become a further expanded program. This project that spans three countries, operates a model of international higher education that is unprecedented to date and has been recognized for these achievements. Even under the circumstances of COVID-19, we have created a new educational model, through initiatives such as building an "online joint campus." Currently, with our student development goal to "foster global leaders for East Asia," the project operates joint curriculum in each country as well as a variety of non-academic programs (extra-curricular activities).
Students from South Korea, Japan and China who participate in Campus Asia, will not only learn foreign languages like Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, but also develop their knowledge of East Asian humanities and cultural experiences from the perspective of “putting themselves in another person’s shoes.” This kind of important experience will be a cornerstone for friendship and joint prosperity in East Asia, and will play an important role in cooperation and problem solving between the three countries. The faculty and staff from each university are likewise doing their best to develop such human resources. I hope that all students will study hard and spend their precious student life in preparation for the day when they will be active on the diverse stages of East Asia. We will always support you!
