【Report】Dr. XIANG Jingjing’s book, Medicine and Confucianism, won the Itan Award!
Dr.XIANG Jingjing (Assistant Professor, Ritsumeikan Asia-Japan Research Organization, Ritsumeikan University) has recently been awarded the 7th “Itan Award (医譚賞)” from the Kansai branch of the Japanese Society for the History of Medicine. She was awarded for her book, Medicine and Confucianism: A Study on Medical Cultural Exchange and Knowledge Circulation in Early Modern East Asia (Jinbun Shoin [In Japanese], 2023). On December 3rd, the award ceremony took place at the Kyoto Educational and Cultural Center. It is great news that Dr. Xiang, who is engaged in research activities at the Asia- Japan Research Institute, received such a prestigious award.

Also, on December 15, 2023, the AJI Book Launch took place for this book, which was attended by many participants, making it a great success.
