IB Diploma ceremony

On March 2nd, the IB Diploma ceremony took place. This year, there were 24 graduates from the IB program. A few have already left the country for their university studies abroad, and 22 participated in the ceremony. The event began with a speech by Principal Noriko Ochi, who congratulated the students on enduring the rigorous challenges of obtaining their IB Diplomas and encouraged them to "believe in themselves and overcome difficulties." Matthew Thomas, the DP Coordinator, then individually acknowledged each student, praising their hard work over the last three years of high school.

After each student was awarded their diploma, they moved the tassel on their caps from the right to the left, signifying their readiness for a new beginning. Representatives of the graduates, Ai Mizogami and Taisuke Shimano, then gave speeches, reflecting on their high school life and expressing gratitude to the faculty, family, and classmates. The ceremony concluded in front of the clock tower with a hat toss towards the sky, as the graduates received warm applause from their families and faculty, celebrating their departure.
