IB course Amazing Race in downtown Kyoto

The IB program’s annual Amazing Race was held on March 14th. The race, which took place in downtown Kyoto, involved teachers and students competing against one another to see who could earn the most points.

Students were put into groups and given clues on how to reach their next location. Once they reached their destinations students were given a question they had to answer, which mostly revolved various aspects of Japanese culture and history. Iconic locations such as Kiyomizu Dera Temple were included in the course.

The student teams put up a strong effort this year but were unable to prevent the teacher’s team from extending their winning streak, Overall, this year’s event encouraged teamwork, camaraderie, and lighthearted competition in the pursuit of a common goal.
