A paper by an undergraduate CRPS student has been accepted for publication in an international peer-reviewed journal!

We proudly announce that a paper by Ms. Chi Thao Dinh from Vietnam, a third-year student in the CRPS program, has been accepted for publication in Sustainability, an international peer-reviewed journal of environmental, cultural, economic, and social sustainability of human beings.

Dinh, Chi T., Takuro Uehara, and Takahiro Tsuge. 2021. "Green Attributes in Young Consumers’ Purchase Intentions: A Cross-Country, Cross-Product Comparative Study Using a Discrete Choice Experiment" Sustainability 13, no. 17: 9825.

The paper applied a discrete choice experiment to explore how young people’s preferences over green products differ across countries (Japan and Vietnam) and products (water bottles and T-shirts).

The study revealed that there is a significant difference in preferences over green products by country. Young Vietnamese consumers place greater value on the environmental impact of a product than young Japanese consumers. The relative importance of green attributes concerning the other attributes (e.g., brand and performance) differs by country. These findings lead to different policy implications for each country in a different context.
