Sitadhira Prima Citta's (CRPS major) paper accepted and published in a peer-reviewed international journal!

A study by Sitadhira Prima Citta, a fourth-year CRPS student from Indonesia, has been accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed international journal Frontiers in Sustainability (CiteScore: 3.3). The study highlights the significant impact of providing information on the cost-effectiveness of menstrual cups (MCs) in influencing consumer preferences across Japan, Indonesia, and France. While sanitary napkins remain the most commonly used menstrual products in these countries, our study reveals that emphasizing the economic benefits of MCs can enhance their adoption compared to health and environmental benefits information. This shows that tailored information efforts emphasizing cost-saving could play a crucial role in promoting the use of MCs as sustainable menstrual products. Additionally, the free provision of MCs can significantly enhance their adoption and help alleviate period poverty, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
