AY2026 Overseas Research Fellowships

Program Outline

Overseas Research Fellowships is the program to foster highly capable researchers with wide international perspectives, this fellowship gives excellent young Japanese researchers an opportunity to carry out long-term research at an overseas university or research institution.
Overseas Research Fellowships-Restart Research Abroad (RRA) is for young Japanese researchers who have suspended their research activities due to life event (marriage, childbirth, child raising, nursing and caregiving).

Internal Deadline for This Program: 21 April 2025 12:00 (noon)

If you wish to apply, please contact the Research Office on your campus by 14 April as some conditions need to be checked beforehand.

Applications must be submitted via the JSPS Electronic Application System. Please inform the Research Office at your campus when you have submitted your application by the above-mentioned internal deadline. The university will then submit the applications to JSPS as your affiliated institution.
