Graduate Description
As a business school offering MBA degree, the Graduate School of Management, also known as Ritsumeikan University Business School (RBS) was established in Kyoto in April 2006, and relocated to Osaka in 2015. with the opening of the Osaka Ibaraki Campus (OIC).
Initially, RBS offered only the Major in Management(MBA Program).
In April 2024, RBS expanded by introducing its second major program, the Major in Tourism Management(Tourism MBA Program).
RBS's mission is to nurture individuals who contribute to the sustainable development of Japan and the world as leaders in creating businesses across diverse fields. Its vision is to serve as an indispensable part of Kansai's globally connected business ecosystem, as well as a hub for academic research and human resource development in business, both in Japan and globally.
Each of the two programs offers two tracks. One track is designed for working professionals—including entrepreneurs and executives, middle managers, and management-track employees—with over three years of work experience. Classes are held on weekday evenings and weekends at the Osaka Umeda Campus, located in the heart of Osaka. The other tracks are for students with little or no work experience who wish to study business and management. These students attend classes during the daytime on weekdays at OIC.
