Access to Ritsumeikan
All of Ritsumeikan University’s 3 campuses are located on bus or train routes. In addition, each campus has a wealth of parking for bicycles. Please view our university access maps at the following link:
Intercampus Shuttle Bus
Students are able to make use of our shuttle bus to move between Kinugasa Campus, Biwako-Kusatsu Campus, and Osaka Ibaraki Campus. The bus runs numerous times throughout the day, and tickets can be purchased for 300 yen from the university co-op store on each campus.
Shuttle Bus Stop Locations:
Kinugasa Campus: Bus loop inside the main gate
Biwako-Kusatsu Campus: Adjacent to the entrance to Across Wing
Osaka Ibaraki Campus: Bus loop at the back of Building D

Commuting to School by Bicycle, Motorbike, or Car
Students are prohibited from commuting by car to Ritsumeikan University.
If you would like to commute by bicycle or motorbike, you must first register your bicycle or motorbike.

Commuting to Biwako-Kusatsu Campus by Bicycle
Students who wish to commute to Biwako-Kusatsu Campus (BKC) by bicycle must first submit a Bicycle Commuting Registration Pledge signed by a parent or guardian. The pledge form excerpt can be found, along with the full Biwako-Kusatsu Campus Commuting Manual, on the page at the link below (the full Bicycle Commuting Registration Application and Bicycle Commuting Registration Pledge can be found on p. 11-12 of the manual).
For those students whose parent(s)/guardian resides overseas, please have them download and print the pledge form at the link below. After signing the pledge form by hand, please have them send you the original to you via post. Please note that the Bicycle Commuting Registration Application and Bicycle Commuting Registration Pledge may be submitted as either two separate pages, or as a single page printed double-sided.
