President and Vice President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) Pay Courtesy Visit to Ritsumeikan University:Advancing Bilateral Collaboration to a New Stage
On October 2, 2026, a delegation from the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) visited Ritsumeikan University.
The delegation included President Ahmed Moneeb Elsabbagh, who assumed office in July 2026, Vice President Kenji Yokoyama (International & Regional Affairs), Ms. Razan Mohamad Yousef, Manager Regional and International Affairs (RIA) Office, and Mr. Manabu Tsunoda, Chief Advisor of the JICA Project. During their visit, they paid a courtesy call on Chancellor Yoshio Nakatani of Ritsumeikan University.
The delegation also held discussions with Vice Chancellor Sachio Nakato (International Affairs), Vice Chancellor Tatsuya Sato (Research Affairs), and Dean Hideyuki Takada of the College of Information Science and Engineering. The participants exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as student mobility, joint research, and faculty-level academic collaboration.
In July of this year, a delegation of deans from E-JUST's Faculty of Engineering visited Ritsumeikan University, laying further groundwork for institutional cooperation. Building on that momentum, the visit by E-JUST's newly appointed leadership served as an important opportunity to deepen and expand the relationship between the two universities.
The visit reaffirmed Ritsumeikan University's position as one of E-JUST's key partner institutions in Japan and marked a significant step toward elevating collaboration between the two universities to a new stage of strategic partnership.
