1.Actions to Prevent the Spread of the Infections

To prevent the spread of infections and the formation of disease clusters, it is vital that to avoid places where all the following three conditions apply:

  1. Poorly ventilated enclosed spaces
  2. Crowded spaces
  3. Places where talking and/or shouting occurs in close quarters

<Avoid getting infected>
 It is important for everyone to do their part. In addition to avoiding the places mentioned above, please make every effort to prevent infection by washing your hands regularly and adhering to cough etiquette.
 The basic measures for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus are basically the same as for influenza.

  • Regularly wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid crowded places and poorly ventilated places (e.g., gyms, live music venues, karaoke rooms).
  • Open a window every so often to ventilate your room.
  • Avoid attending buffet style receptions or other events where there is a high risk of contact and droplet transmission. If you are the organizer, cancel or postpone the event.

<Avoid spreading infection>
 Even if you get infected, you may be asymptomatic and can spread the disease without realizing it.

  • Adhere to cough etiquette and wear a mask.
  • If you develop a fever and a cough, or otherwise feel unwell, avoid going outside (including going to school or work).
